He joined Smartline as a broker in late 2000 as he believed the bank lenders had lost the “art” of treating clients with proper respect and wanted to help his clients with a personal service that would hopefully exceed their expectations. “My experience in all areas of lending ranges from home loans right through to complex commercial and business lending. This means I can offer a full financial solution for each of my clients,” explains Greg.

“I’ve always enjoyed helping people with what could be a complex financial transaction,” he says. “I like to make sure that each loan will suit my clients’ needs, now and in the future. My objective is to help my clients to secure their financial future.”

“Understanding exactly what each lender will and won’t do is almost an art form, given lenders have changed their lending policies so much in recent times. That’s why people need the assistance of an experienced broker to advise them and find the right lender for them. Knowing how lenders require an application to be presented allows me to secure my clients the right loan, with a minimum of fuss,” Greg adds.

As well as organising loans for commercial and industrial real-estate, Greg has helped numerous first home buyers achieve their property goals. “I really like to see young people get their first home,” he explains. “I tend to spend a lot of time with first home buyers, guiding them through the process. The first time you do something, there are many questions to be asked and answered and I believe my role is to provide as many facts as possible so people can make an informed decision that is right for them.”
